Billings : Montana

Billings is the largest city in Montana and located in the fertile Yellowstone River Valley.  It is an important commercial, cultural, and industrial center of Montana. The city grew in leaps and bounds ever since it was founded in 1882. It is nicknamed the “Magic City” and is also a main processing and distribution hub for a rich agricultural area that encompasses more than 125,000 miles. It has an excellent road, rail, and air transportation networks. It is a popular tourist place with many scenic attractions located nearby.

The climate is influenced by the mountains which protect the city from the hearsh weather conditions. However, blizzards are not uncommon in the area.  Moist air from the Pacific Ocean, called "Chinook winds," often brings warm weather in the winter and cooler temperatures in the summer.
